Brews & Bistro
Reed White and Carol Houk have gained unanimous approval of the La Veta Town Board to open a Micro-brewery and Bistro in their property that sits between LA Veta Medical Clinic and Cliff Brice. They have plans to produce brew to serve in the bistro and have available for consumers to carry out. THey are now in the process of securing the necessary approval from the state for the appropriate liquor license and will be getting clearance from the bi-county health department. It will be a great addition to the Cuchara Valley. Carol is a dedicated volunteer with the La Veta Fire Protection District. They are working on a name for the new establishment and have selected some ‘regional names’ for their different brews. Carol and Reed are great, relatively new, citizens of the valley.
