This bobcat was crossing CO 12, Highway of Legends, near the River Run at Spanish Peaks development. As it walked across the highway I slowly approached and, seeing me, it climbed a nearby tree. We spent some time looking at each other and it then decided that he/she would move on in pursuit of a late lunch or early dinner. Bobcat are quite abundant in our area and are a real pleasure to watch.

And, though hard to see in this photo, here is the elk herd that hangs out in the field north of US 160 near the CO 12, Highway of Legends intersection.
