Our neighbor to the west, billionaire Louis Bacon (who purchased the 175,000 acre Trinchera Ranch from the Forbes a while back) is fighting the proposed new power line that is to complete a grid and run from Pueblo to the San Luis Valley over La Veta pass. He does not want it to run through his back yard. So his is throwing all kinds of resources to stop the line, challenging procedure, need, costs, etc. When you have billions you can play Not In My Back Yard (NIMBY), like no one else.
