The bright moonlight last night was incredible. Cloudless night and the brightest moon imaginable. With snow reflecting. What a wonderful place!

Cuchara Mountain Resorts former sister, Ski Rio near Amalia and Costilla New Mexico, has reopened. Though the lifts have been removed, they are doing Cat skiing on virgin snow. It has reopened as  Endless Blue Resort. And for your reading pleasure, here is an article provided to me by Brad Chamberlin of Colorado Ski History.
