About Us:
We’re all about Cuchara and La Veta area real estate and the southern Colorado
lifestyle!
We are committed to the area. We're not just interested in selling
real estate. We want to build relationships, not just generate transactions.
We look forward to a ‘future’ with our customers, our customers’ family, friends
and associates. We believe in integrity first. We actively listen to our customers.
We are not afraid to work hard for you.
We’ll work as a team of real estate counselors,
and, as needed, draw from the expertise and knowledge of our associates
at Bachman. We care about our clients. And we look forward to helping
others find the magic in the region that we have, discovering the joy
of mountain living.
Steve
Perkins has been a broker associate with Bachman & Associates,
Inc. for over four years. Steve and his wife Pamela, started
coming to the Cuchara River valley twenty years ago, bringing their
two sons, Taylor Brown and Justin Perkins for frequent vacations from
their home in Wichita, Kansas.
In 1996 they bought their first home in the area and made Cuchara their
full time residence in 2002. After completing his bachelors and MBA
at University of Kansas, Steve had a 30 year career in Wichita as an
executive in banking and healthcare.
He serves as the hospital CEO at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center,
in the county, and is committed to make Huerfano County a great place
to live, play and work. Steve serves as president of the La Veta Cuchara
Chamber of Commerce and the Huerfano County Coalition. He’s treasurer
and board member of Cuchara Chapel and served as president of Spanish
Peaks Property Owners Association for three years. Steve has been instrumental
in the development of the Huerfano County tourism council and the Spanish
Peaks International Celtic Music Festival. In 2005 he was named ‘Outstanding
Citizen of Huerfano County’ by the local chambers of commerce.
Taylor
Brown became a broker associate with Bachman & Associates, Inc.
in 2006. Beginning as a toddler, Taylor vacationed in the mountains
of Colorado and always knew this was where he wanted to live. He graduated
with a business degree with an emphasis in recreation/resort management
form Western State College in Gunnison. He worked for Crested Butte
Resort for some time and then was involved with sponsorships, resort
events and marketing at Angel Fire Resort, New Mexico. His passion
for the area runs deeply.
